Le Refuge Yoga Classes: Ideal for All Age sand All Levels
Classes at Le Refuge Yoga are safe, empowering and fun! Anyone at any level, including beginner, is able to participate. Age is no barrier either--we will help you develop a strong, flexible body and a quiet mind through meditation and breathing, basic asanas, gentle twists, stretches, balancing poses and deep relaxation.
Beginner Yoga for Beginners
Le Refuge’s beginner yoga classes are perfect for those who are starting yoga. Using simple poses, we help you connect with your body while bringing your thoughts into awareness.
Students who want to build from a solid foundation can also benefit from these classes in this healing discipline. Whether you are 20 or 70 you have the potential to improve both your flexibility and your overall physical condition.
Yoga for Arthritis / Gentle Chair Yoga
This is a slow paced class, where poses are done mostly sitting on a chair. The gentle movements provide mild compression of the joints in order to relieve stiffness and promote lubrication of the joints. The stress relief provided during this class also help reduce inflammation bringing you a deep sense of wellbeing, balance, and strength.

Yoga for Stress Relief & Flexibility
A beautiful flow of asanas, this class helps lubricate the joints and tone the muscles that support the bone structures. These gentle sequences will help you regain some flexibility and increase your range of motion. Every week we focus on a different aspect of the body: whether it is knees, hips, back or wrists, we will leave you feeling better!
Filled with seated and forward bending poses, yoga for stress relief will bring you a sense calm and relaxation, while helping you develop a taste for meditation and centering.
We work very hard in our lives, and while we may sleep, we rarely take time to rest. Restorative yoga help us learn to relax and rest deeply and completely.
During deep relaxation, all the organ systems of the body undergo a healing process.
As a result, you will experience more stable blood pressure, lower blood sugar, an increase of "good cholesterol" levels, as well as improvement in digestion, fertility, elimination, better muscle response, better sleep and generalized wellbeing.
Yin Yoga reaches you at a deeper level than the superficial or muscular tissues (which we are calling the yang tissues). Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of yoga. Keeping the practice around the hips, pelvis, and lower spine, this practice is relaxing and perfect to stretch and wind down at the end of your day. All asanas are performed to soothing, inspirational music and will prepare you for a good sleep.
Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles.
Yoga for Weight Loss
Yoga for Weight Loss is a moderate flow that ignites your internal fire to strengthen the heart and provide more oxygen to the brain. This class is flowing faster enhancing your presence and focus. By the end of a class, you will feel rejuvenated, alert and full of energy.
